Twin Flames by Debbie Christiana
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
This is a fantastic paranormal romance that I struggled to put down! I loved it!
Natalia Santagario is a wonderful character. She is a very stubborn lady, and prefers to work on her vineyard than to socialise. She also has a friendly ghost as a companion. On a night out with friends, she meets Marc Tremonti and feels that she has met him before.
Marc Tremonti is also a wonderful character. He is a fantastic chef, working in the family restaurant. He is also married, but when he meets Natalia, he feels an instant connection and is determined to figure out how and why.
This is a fantastic romance that captured my attention from the first page. Told from both Natalia's and Marc's point of view, it delves into the subject of reincarnation, past lives and the concept of twin flame soul mates. I don't know what to believe on the subject, because I have a war going on between my head and heart. My head says that there is no reincarnation, but the romantic in me would like to believe that we were put on this Earth for a purpose, and that we keep coming back until we get it right. What that purpose may be is a mystery to me, and I could become very philosophical. I think my heart is winning!
Reading this book, and seeing each of the lifetimes these two souls have met in, has me thinking of all the odd deja vu moments I've had, and contemplating that there has got to be something going on that defies logical explanations.
I enjoyed travelling through Natalia's and Marc's experiences, even though some of them are a little gruesome. I shed more than a few tears during some of the scenes, so grab a tissue just in case. Their love is eternal and their passion for one another is intense, but those scenes are hot without being explicit or erotic. I also enjoyed meeting Giovanna, Natalia's ghost. She seems to have her own agenda, but I found her to be extremely likeable.
The ending sent a little shiver up my back, but whether it was a good shiver or a bad one remains to be seen.
Debbie Christiana has written an amazing paranormal romance that transcends time. The subjects of past life regression and sleep disorders seems to have been thoroughly investigated and researched, which gives the story an authentic feel. I am not sure whether the author is writing another book with these same characters or not, but I am looking forward to reading more of her books in the future. I highly recommend this book if you love paranormal romances. - Lynn Worton
