Angela Yuriko Smith brings us The End of Mae

My thoughs....

It has been some time since I last were this in two about a book review.
This book, short, eerie and totally disconcerting was a fast read that kept me glued to the pages but...
A lot of this story bothered me to no end. I felt as if I as a reader were not party to all of the facts. I am unsure if this were intended or not but it sent chills down my spine like you would not believe.
Part Dr Hyde part beauty and the beast the story is all its own plot and voice.

I must say whether or not the plot holes were intended or not the result was extremely disturbing.

It is only after the very end where a bit more of the Jersey Devil legend was explained when I caught a bit more of the plot.
That made the story EVEN MORE disturbing. Truly. You would not believe it. Even if I love horror this book chilled me like few before. In a way this book should get a higher rating but....
I was a bit disconcerted by not feeling as if I had all the info.

Like I said, this book is confusing thus a confusing review. But and this is true. If you want a chilling read then this is the book for you.
