A brilliant coming of age book.  Carter is a loveable character which grows on the reader with every second past.  The situations he lands himself is not fantastic though it really entertains. 

I loved this book.  Carter finding high school a lot of work and a lot of trouble simply does not "get" it. 

From the moment he kisses a girl until he gets slapped 50 times the story is a pure joy and the reactions of the characters human and at the same time hilarious. 

I can't imagine how I could recommend this high enough. 

Somehow 5 * does not do it.  So have 10 * and please write more books.
